Verses including the word Hereafter, The (Akhirah)
And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. (Surah Al-Baqara, 4)
These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter: their penalty shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped. (Surah Al-Baqara, 86)
Say: "If the last Home, with Allah, be for you specially, and not for anyone else, then seek ye for death, if ye are sincere." (Surah Al-Baqara, 94)
They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon: the blasphemers Were, not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men Magic, and such things as came down at babylon to the angels Harut and Marut.But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife.But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah.s permission.And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them.And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter.And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew! (Surah Al-Baqara, 102)
So when ye have accomplished your holy rites, celebrate the praises of Allah, as ye used to celebrate the praises of your fathers,- yea, with far more Heart and soul.There are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us (Thy bounties) in this world!" but they will have no portion in the Hereafter. (Surah Al-Baqara, 200)
And there are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!" (Surah Al-Baqara, 201)
They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month.Say: "Fighting therein is a grave (offence); but graver is it in the sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members." Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter.Nor will they cease fighting you until they turn you back from your faith if they can.And if any of you Turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be companions of the Fire and will abide therein. (Surah Al-Baqara, 217)
They ask thee concerning wine and gambling.Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; Say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah Make clear to you His Signs: In order that ye may consider- (Surah Al-Baqara, 219)
(Their bearings) on this life and the Hereafter.They ask thee concerning orphans.Say: "The best thing to do is what is for their good; if ye mix their affairs with yours, they are your brethren; but Allah knows the man who means mischief from the man who means good.And if Allah had wished, He could have put you into difficulties: He is indeed Exalted in Power, Wise." (Surah Al-Baqara, 220)
They are those whose works will bear no fruit in this world and in the Hereafter nor will they have anyone to help. (Surah Al-Imran, 22)
Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. (Surah Al-Imran, 45)
"As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help." (Surah Al-Imran, 56)
As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: Nor will Allah (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin): They shall have a grievous penalty. (Surah Al-Imran, 77)
If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah., never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good). (Surah Al-Imran, 85)
They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous. (Surah Al-Imran, 114)
Nor can a soul die except by Allah.s leave, the term being fixed as by writing.If any do desire a reward in this life, We shall give it to him; and if any do desire a reward in the Hereafter, We shall give it to him.And swiftly shall We reward those that (serve us with) gratitude. (Surah Al-Imran, 145)
And Allah gave them a reward in this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. For Allah Loveth those who do good. (Surah Al-Imran, 148)
Allah did indeed fulfil His promise to you when ye with His permission Were about to annihilate your enemy,-until ye flinched and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight (of the booty) which ye covet.Among you are some that hanker after this world and some that desire the Hereafter.Then did He divert you from your foes in order to test you but He forgave you: For Allah is full of grace to those who believe. (Surah Al-Imran, 152)
Let not those grieve thee who rush headlong into Unbelief: Not the least harm will they do to Allah.Allah.s plan is that He will give them no portion in the Hereafter, but a severe punishment. (Surah Al-Imran, 176)
Let those fight in the cause of Allah Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter.To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value). (Surah An-Nisa, 74)
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were told to hold back their hands (from fight) but establish regular prayers and spend in regular charity? When (at length) the order for fighting was issued to them, behold! a section of them feared men as - or even more than - they should have feared Allah.They said: "Our Lord! Why hast Thou ordered us to fight? Wouldst Thou not Grant us respite to our (natural) term, near (enough)?" Say: "Short is the enjoyment of this world: the Hereafter is the best for those who do right: Never will ye be dealt with unjustly in the very least! (Surah An-Nisa, 77)
If any one desires a reward in this life, in Allah.s (gift) is the reward (both) of this life and of the hereafter: for Allah is He that heareth and seeth (all things). (Surah An-Nisa, 134)
This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you.The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them.(Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good). (Surah Al-Maida, 5)
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; (Surah Al-Maida, 33)
O Messenger.let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee.They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah.For such - it is not Allah.s will to purify their hearts.For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment. (Surah Al-Maida, 41)
What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous.Will ye not then understand? (Surah Al-Anam, 32)
And this is a Book which We have sent down, bringing blessings, and confirming (the revelations) which came before it: that thou mayest warn the mother of cities and all around her.Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book), and they are constant in guarding their prayers. (Surah Al-Anam, 92)
Likewise did We make for every Messenger an enemy,- evil ones among men and jinns, inspiring each other with flowery discourses by way of deception.If thy Lord had so planned, they would not have done it: so leave them and their inventions alone. (Surah Al-Anam, 112)
To such (deceit) let the hearts of those incline, who have no faith in the hereafter: let them delight in it, and let them earn from it what they may. (Surah Al-Anam, 113)
Say: "Bring forward your witnesses to prove that Allah did forbid so and so." If they bring such witnesses, be not thou amongst them: Nor follow thou the vain desires of such as treat our signs as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the Hereafter: for they hold others as equal with their Guardian-Lord. (Surah Al-Anam, 150)
"Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: they were those who denied the Hereafter." (Surah Al-Araf, 45)
Those who reject Our signs and the meeting in the Hereafter,- vain are their deeds: Can they expect to be rewarded except as they have wrought? (Surah Al-Araf, 147)
"And ordain for us that which is good, in this life and in the Hereafter: for we have turned unto Thee." He said: "With My punishment I visit whom I will; but My mercy extendeth to all things.That (mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right, and practise regular charity, and those who believe in Our signs;- (Surah Al-Araf, 156)
After them succeeded an (evil) generation: They inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the vanities of this world, saying (for excuse): "(Everything) will be forgiven us." (Even so), if similar vanities came their way, they would (again) seize them.Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth? and they study what is in the Book.But best for the righteous is the home in the Hereafter.Will ye not understand? (Surah Al-Araf, 169)
It is not fitting for an apostle that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land.Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter: And Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. (Surah Al-Anfal, 67)
O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. (Surah At-Tawba, 38)
As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children.They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did.They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good). (Surah At-Tawba, 69)
They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them. (Surah At-Tawba, 74)
For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah.This is indeed the supreme felicity. (Surah Yunus, 64)
They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein, and of no effect and the deeds that they do! (Surah Hud, 16)
"Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: these were they who denied the Hereafter!" (Surah Hud, 19)
Without a doubt, these are the very ones who will lose most in the Hereafter! (Surah Hud, 22)
In that is a Sign for those who fear the penalty of the Hereafter: that is a Day for which mankind will be gathered together: that will be a Day of Testimony. (Surah Hud, 103)
He said: "Before any food comes (in due course) to feed either of you, I will surely reveal to you the truth and meaning of this ere it befall you: that is part of the (duty) which my Lord hath taught me.I have (I assure you) abandoned the ways of a people that believe not in Allah and that (even) deny the Hereafter. (Surah Yusuf, 37)
But verily the reward of the Hereafter is the best, for those who believe, and are constant in righteousness. (Surah Yusuf, 57)
"O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter.Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous." (Surah Yusuf, 101)
Nor did We send before thee (as apostles) any but men, whom we did inspire,- (men) living in human habitations.Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right.Will ye not then understand? (Surah Yusuf, 109)
Allah doth enlarge, or grant by (strict) measure, the sustenance (which He giveth) to whomso He pleaseth.(The wordly) rejoice in the life of this world: But the life of this world is but little comfort in the Hereafter. (Surah Ar-Rad, 26)
For them is a penalty in the life of this world, but harder, truly, is the penalty of the Hereafter: and defender have they none against Allah. (Surah Ar-Rad, 34)
Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance. (Surah İbrahim, 3)
Allah will establish in strength those who believe, with the word that stands firm, in this world and in the Hereafter; but Allah will leave, to stray, those who do wrong: Allah doeth what He willeth. (Surah İbrahim, 27)
Your Allah is one Allah.as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant. (Surah An-Nahl, 22)
To the righteous (when) it is said, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "All that is good." To those who do good, there is good in this world, and the Home of the Hereafter is even better and excellent indeed is the Home of the righteous,- (Surah An-Nahl, 30)
To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression,- We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world; but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater.If they only realised (this)! (Surah An-Nahl, 41)
To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. (Surah An-Nahl, 60)
This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith (Surah An-Nahl, 107)
Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish. (Surah An-Nahl, 109)
And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. (Surah An-Nahl, 122)
And to those who believe not in the Hereafter, (it announceth) that We have prepared for them a Penalty Grievous (indeed). (Surah Al-Isra, 10)
Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the ones whose striving is acceptable (to Allah.. (Surah Al-Isra, 19)
See how We have bestowed more on some than on others; but verily the Hereafter is more in rank and gradation and more in excellence. (Surah Al-Isra, 21)
When thou dost recite the Qur'an, We put, between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible: (Surah Al-Isra, 45)
But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the Path. (Surah Al-Isra, 72)
And We said thereafter to the Children of Israel, "Dwell securely in the land (of promise)": but when the second of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you together in a mingled crowd. (Surah Al-Isra, 104)
And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Sings of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring. (Surah Ta Ha, 127)
There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see! (Surah Al-Hajj, 11)
If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger.in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)! (Surah Al-Hajj, 15)
And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. (Surah Al-Muminun, 33)
And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. (Surah Al-Muminun, 74)
Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair. (Surah An-Nur, 14)
Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not. (Surah An-Nur, 19)
Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty,- (Surah An-Nur, 23)
Those who establish regular prayers and give in regular charity, and also have (full) assurance of the hereafter. (Surah An-Naml, 3)
As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction. (Surah An-Naml, 4)
Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. (Surah An-Naml, 5)
Still less can their knowledge comprehend the Hereafter: Nay, they are in doubt and uncertainty thereanent; nay, they are blind thereunto! (Surah An-Naml, 66)
And He is Allah. There is no god but He. To Him be praise, at the first and at the last: for Him is the Command, and to Him shall ye (all) be brought back. (Surah Al-Qasas, 70)
"But seek, with the (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, nor forget thy portion in this world: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not (occasions for) mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief." (Surah Al-Qasas, 77)
That Home of the Hereafter We shall give to those who intend not high- handedness or mischief on earth: and the end is (best) for the righteous. (Surah Al-Qasas, 83)
Say: "Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things. (Surah Al-Ankabut, 20)
And We gave (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob, and ordained among his progeny Prophethood and Revelation, and We granted him his reward in this life; and he was in the Hereafter (of the company) of the Righteous. (Surah Al-Ankabut, 27)
What is the life of this world but amusement and play? but verily the Home in the Hereafter,- that is life indeed, if they but knew. (Surah Al-Ankabut, 64)
They know but the outer (things) in the life of this world: but of the End of things they are heedless. (Surah Ar-Rum, 7)
And those who have rejected Faith and falsely denied our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter,- such shall be brought forth to Punishment. (Surah Ar-Rum, 16)
Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. (Surah Luqman, 4)
But if ye seek Allah and His Messenger, and the Home of the Hereafter, verily Allah has prepared for the well-doers amongst you a great reward. (Surah Al-Ahzab, 29)
Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment. (Surah Al-Ahzab, 57)
Praise be to Allah, to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom, acquainted with all things. (Surah Saba, 1)
"Has he invented a falsehood against Allah, or has a spirit (seized) him?"- Nay, it is those who believe not in the Hereafter, that are in (real) Penalty, and in farthest error. (Surah Saba, 8)
But he had no authority over them,- except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things. (Surah Saba, 21)
Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition. (Surah Az-Zumar, 9)
So Allah gave them a taste of humiliation in the present life, but greater is the punishment of the Hereafter, if they only knew! (Surah Az-Zumar, 26)
When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy! (Surah Az-Zumar, 45)
"O my people! This life of the present is nothing but (temporary) convenience: It is the Hereafter that is the Home that will last. (Surah Ghafir, 39)
"Without doubt ye do call me to one who is not fit to be called to, whether in this world, or in the Hereafter; our return will be to Allah. and the Transgressors will be Companions of the Fire! (Surah Ghafir, 43)
Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. (Surah Fussilat, 7)
So We sent against them a furious Wind through days of disaster, that We might give them a taste of a Penalty of humiliation in this life; but the Penalty of a Hereafter will be more humiliating still: and they will find no help. (Surah Fussilat, 16)
"We are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter: therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for!- (Surah Fussilat, 31)
To any that desires the tilth of the Hereafter, We give increase in his tilth, and to any that desires the tilth of this world, We grant somewhat thereof, but he has no share or lot in the Hereafter. (Surah Ash-Shura, 20)
And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against ((Allah)) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways on which to go up, (Surah Az-Zukhruf, 33)
And (silver) doors to their houses, and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline, (Surah Az-Zukhruf, 34)
And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous. (Surah Az-Zukhruf, 35)
Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names. (Surah An-Najm, 27)
Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of Allah.. And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception? (Surah Al-Hadid, 20)
And had it not been that Allah had decreed banishment for them, He would certainly have punished them in this world: And in the Hereafter they shall (certainly) have the Punishment of the Fire. (Surah Al-Hashr, 3)
O ye who believe! Turn not (for friendship) to people on whom is the Wrath of Allah, of the Hereafter they are already in despair, just as the Unbelievers are in despair about those (buried) in graves. (Surah Al-Mumtahana, 13)
Such is the Punishment (in this life); but greater is the Punishment in the Hereafter,- if only they knew! (Surah Al-Qalam, 33)
By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, (Surah Al-Muddaththir, 53)
Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, (Surah Al-Qiyama, 20)
And leave alone the Hereafter. (Surah Al-Qiyama, 21)
But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. (Surah An-Naziat, 25)
Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; (Surah Al-Ala, 16)
But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. (Surah Al-Ala, 17)
