Verses including the word Curse
They say, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah.s Word: we need no more)." Nay, Allah.s curse is on them for their blasphemy: Little is it they believe. (Surah Al-Baqara, 88)
And when there comes to them a Book from Allah, confirming what is with them,- although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith,- when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognised, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith. (Surah Al-Baqara, 89)
Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book,-on them shall be Allah.s curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse,- (Surah Al-Baqara, 159)
Those who reject Faith, and die rejecting,- on them is Allah.s curse, and the curse of angels, and of all mankind; (Surah Al-Baqara, 161)
If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!" (Surah Al-Imran, 61)
Of such the reward is that on them (rests) the curse of Allah, of His angels, and of all mankind;- (Surah Al-Imran, 87)
Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, and say: "We hear and we disobey"; and "Hear what is not Heard"; and "Ra'ina"; with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith.If only they had said: "What hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us"; it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe. (Surah An-Nisa, 46)
O ye People of the Book! believe in what We have (now) revealed, confirming what was (already) with you, before We change the face and fame of some (of you) beyond all recognition, and turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers, for the decision of Allah Must be carried out. (Surah An-Nisa, 47)
They are (men) whom Allah hath cursed: And those whom Allah Hath cursed, thou wilt find, have no one to help. (Surah An-Nisa, 52)
If a man kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein (For ever): And the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him, and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him. (Surah An-Nisa, 93)
(The Pagans), leaving Him, call but upon female deities:They call but upon satan the persistent rebel! (Surah An-Nisa, 117)
Allah did curse him, but he said: "I will take of Thy servants a portion Marked off; (Surah An-Nisa, 118)
But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind. (Surah Al-Maida, 13)
Say: "Shall I point out to you something much worse than this, (as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah.those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some He transformed into apes and swine, those who worshipped evil;- these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!" (Surah Al-Maida, 60)
The Jews say: "(Allah)'s hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter.Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth.But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy.Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment|.Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth.And Allah loveth not those who do mischief. (Surah Al-Maida, 64)
Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses. (Surah Al-Maida, 78)
He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire.Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all" : but this ye do not understand. (Surah Al-Araf, 38)
The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord's promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers;- (Surah Al-Araf, 44)
Allah hath promised the Hypocrites men and women, and the rejecters, of Faith, the fire of Hell: Therein shall they dwell: Sufficient is it for them: for them is the curse of Allah, and an enduring punishment,- (Surah At-Tawba, 68)
Who doth more wrong than those who invent a life against Allah.They will be turned back to the presence of their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! the Curse of Allah is on those who do wrong!- (Surah Hud, 18)
And they were pursued by a Curse in this life,- and on the Day of Judgment.Ah! Behold! for the 'Ad rejected their Lord and Cherisher! Ah! Behold! removed (from sight) were 'Ad the people of Hud! (Surah Hud, 60)
And they are followed by a curse in this (life) and on the Day of Judgment: and woeful is the gift which shall be given (unto them)! (Surah Hud, 99)
But those who break the Covenant of Allah, after having plighted their word thereto, and cut asunder those things which Allah has commanded to be joined, and work mischief in the land;- on them is the curse; for them is the terrible home! (Surah Ar-Rad, 25)
"And the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment." (Surah Al-Hijr, 35)
Behold! We told thee that thy Lord doth encompass mankind round about: We granted the vision which We showed thee, but as a trial for men,- as also the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Qur'an: We put terror (and warning) into them, but it only increases their inordinate transgression! (Surah Al-Isra, 60)
And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth; (Surah An-Nur, 6)
And the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of Allah on themselves if they tell a lie. (Surah An-Nur, 7)
Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty,- (Surah An-Nur, 23)
in this world We made a curse to follow them and on the Day of Judgment they will be among the loathed (and despised). (Surah Al-Qasas, 42)
And he said: "For you, ye have taken (for worship) idols besides Allah, out of mutual love and regard between yourselves in this life; but on the Day of Judgment ye shall disown each other and curse each other: and your abode will be the Fire, and ye shall have none to help." (Surah Al-Ankabut, 25)
Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment. (Surah Al-Ahzab, 57)
They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy). (Surah Al-Ahzab, 61)
Verily Allah has cursed the Unbelievers and prepared for them a Blazing Fire,- (Surah Al-Ahzab, 64)
And they would say: "Our Lord! We obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us as to the (right) Path. (Surah Al-Ahzab, 67)
"Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!" (Surah Al-Ahzab, 68)
"And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." (Surah Sâd, 78)
The Day when no profit will it be to Wrong-doers to present their excuses, but they will (only) have the Curse and the Home of Misery. (Surah Ghafir, 52)
Such are the men whom Allah has cursed for He has made them deaf and blinded their sight. (Surah Muhammad, 23)
And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: the Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination. (Surah Al-Fath, 6)
